Footpath Reconstruction

Pavements in several parts of Arrowe Park and Upton are scheduled to be reconstructed as part of a program to upgrade the pavement and road network.

As part of the program residents who do not have vehicular access to their property will be offered the opportunity to have crossings constructed at a discounted rate, letters will be sent to affected properties.

Unfortunately it is no longer viable to continue replacing broken flags, so with this in mind tarmac is now being used to repair broken flags and for reconstructions. Tarmac which as well as being more flexible also helps the Council maintain the footpath network in a safe condition therefore reducing trips and falls and also claims for compensation against the Council.

The roads affected are as follows

  • Cheshire Acre in Upton
  • Druids Way in Upton
  • Eltham Close in Arrowe Park
  • Eltham Green in Arrowe Park
  • Parts of Sherry Lane in Upton

There is no confirmed date for the start of these works.
