Ackers Road Roundabout

Whilst out on the campaign trail with the team last week, we came across members of Woodchurch T.R.U.S.T landscaping Ackers Road Roundabout.

Building on the success of similar work carried out on Houghton Road Roundabout last year, for which Woodchurch T.R.U.S.T were awarded a merit at the Britain In Bloom competition, Ackers Road Roundabout promises to even better.

Woodchurch T.R.U.S.T also set up a stall, and by all accounts was successful in attracting several new members, so all in all a successful day for all.

Community Market & Car Boot Sale

This morning was spent with the team knocking on doors in Woodchurch, we received a warm reception on the doorstep and it is clear that there is no appetite for the Tories. All the issues raised will be dealt with by the Labour Team.

After we finished on the doorstep I went up to Holy Cross to visit the Community Market and Car Boot Sale which was taking place there. All those I spoke to agreed that the day had been a great success, no doubt helped by the glorious weather.

Woodchurch In Bloom

Yesterday I had the pleasure of dropping in to see how the Woodchurch T.R.U.S.T where getting on with their contribution for the Woodchurch in Bloom competition entry.

For those who don’t know, Woodchurch has been entered into the National ‘In Bloom’ competition, as part of this the Neighbourhood Management Team in partnership with many Community Groups including Woodchurch T.R.U.S.T have been sponsoring hanging baskets for residents front gardens.

There are three ‘hanging basket’ events, the first one being held in conjunction with W.A.L.C on Hoole Road which was held on Friday, the Woodchurch T.R.U.S.T event yesterday and the final one which will be held on 27th June at the Holy Cross Summer Fair. The events so far have been a great success.

Another Happy Customer For the event on Saturday any donations will be used towards taking elderly residents on a trip to Bury Market. Well done everyone.

Getting Our Hands Dirty on the Woodchurch

Myself, Stephen Hesford MP and members of Woodchurch T.R.U.S.T getting our hands dirty

Yesterday myself, Stephen Hesford MP, together with other members of the Labour Team where out knocking on doors supporting our Labour European Election Candidates.

Whilst we were out and about we came across members of Woodchurch T.R.U.S.T sprucing up Houghton Road Roundabout, where we stopped by for a chat. This was a follow up to the superb work carried out by Woodchurch T.R.U.S.T earlier in the year. Initiatives such as this make a real difference to the well being of an area and can only be applauded.
